Governor Uba sani has approved a new competition software system in Kaduna geographic information service(KADGIS) that will curb the corrupt practices in compensation of land within the state.
Director General of KADGIS Dr Bashir Garba Ibrahim disclose this while receiving Nuj Frcn Kaduna Chapel at his office in Kaduna.
The Director General explained that the software will take bio metrics of the original owner of the land that will be compensated such as thumbprint, Nin etc. there by stopping fraudster from claiming what is not theirs.
The DG used the visit to accentuate major reforms made under his steward since his assumptions in office.
He stated that in the last two years KADGIS has resolved over 700 hundred land dispute cases also 20% discount policy for payment of outstanding bills in advance which has improved revenue and customer delivery.
Dr Bashir Garba confirmed that certificate of occupancy C.of.O has a speedy process that can be processed with 24 hours after all requirements are met, making over 200 C.of.O processed weekly.
Responding, NUJ FRCN Kaduna Chairman, Umar Adamu S. Fada applauded the DG and entire staff of the service for the general overhauling particularly the compensation software and the speedy CofO issuance.
He welcomed the idea of the partnership and expressed the union’s willingness to collaborate with the service PR unit for effective communication.
The FRCN Chapel then offered to support the Service to leverage on their station’s programs to engage with the public more directly to provide more information and clarity on land matters in state.
