In the heart of Kano’s political sphere stands Alhaji Abdulsalam Abdulkareem Zaura, popularly known as A. A. Zaura, a steadfast devotee of the All Progressives Congress (APC) opined that very soon, APC will have a rebounce in Kano State.
He said this, while speaking with Freedom Radio in Kano today.

His unwavering optimism now fixates on what he believes to be an imminent turning point for Kano’s political tapestry. Initially recognized as an international business magnate, his pivot towards politics stemmed from a profound desire for community transformation.
The narrative unfurls with Zaura’s initial pursuit of the gubernatorial seat under the APC banner, a campaign that eventually took an unexpected turn. In a rare display of party consensus and selflessness, Zaura gracefully stepped aside from the gubernatorial race, honoring an internal agreement within the APC in Kano State. Instead, his focus pivoted toward the senatorial seat of Kano Central.
Despite experiencing a setback in the senatorial election, Zaura’s allegiance to the APC endures as an unshakable force. His commitment transcends defeat, resolutely pledging unwavering support to the party’s cause, both at state and national levels. Addressing journalists recently, his unwavering dedication echoed through his hopeful anticipation of the APC’s resurgence in Kano, poised for a potential victory in reclaiming the governorship seat, a prospect he firmly believes will materialize through legal avenues at the Supreme Court.
Yet, Zaura’s essence transcends the realm of politics; his philanthropic endeavors stand as a testament to his altruistic spirit. Advocating tirelessly for the empowerment of Kano’s women, youth, and marginalized populations remains a cornerstone of his mission. Notably, despite electoral outcomes, his commitment to uplifting the youth remains unwavering, promising continued support regardless of polling results.
Zaura’s influence extends far beyond local politics; his pivotal support for Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s candidacy culminated in Tinubu’s ascendancy as Nigeria’s president-elect, solidifying Zaura’s imprint on Nigeria’s political fabric.
In contemporary Kano politics, Zaura emerges as the epitome of steadfast loyalty to the APC, epitomizing inclusivity by embracing the diverse voices within the party. His approach underscores a deep-rooted commitment to unity and collective advancement.
